Darlene Eliot was born in Canada and grew up in Southern California. When not writing short fiction, she enjoys hiking with her sweetheart near water, Redwoods, or Monterey Cypresses. She is inspired by writers, artists, filmmakers, and composers. She loves Billy Wilder films and the enchantment and dread of Helen Oyeyemi tales. Darlene’s work often explores horror and humor and the sinkholes in between…or wherever the story takes her.
